What is the difference between using the templates and using a recipe to write content with Jasper?
This is a really great question, and one often asked by users on the Starter Plan.
The Jasper templates are trained to write copy for you in a specific way. For example, the AIDA template (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) will always write 'sale-sy' copy, designed to convert.
When you use the templates, you are crafting individual short-form copies that you can combine to make a longer-form copy, such as a blog post, landing page, email, etc.
In this case, you are on your own when it comes to knowing the formula for crafting that longer form copy.
When you use a recipe (and I can only speak for my own here), you are accessing a tried and tested formula for long-form copy that converts.
For example, my recipe '💰 'Leverage Listicles with the HubSpot Success Formula' is based on the Hubspot template for writing Listicles - and Hubspot are the authority! (try the listicle recipe)
My '✍🏻 Rewrite or 🧠 Expand For New and Original Copy' recipe is an updated version of my rewrite recipe featured in the recipe dashboard - which has been used nearly 13k times - again, a tried and tested formula. (try the rewrite recipe)
You do need BossMode to run recipes, but don't get FOMO if you are on the starter plan!

Can Jasper pull data from the internet via a link?
Example: Jasper, please give me a summary of the top 10 google sites for the keyword: Artificial Intelligence.
The simple answer is no.
Jasper isn't 'pulling' information as he goes, so he cant be used as a factual research tool. He is a creative copywriter.
The underlying AI model - Open AI GPT-3 - that powers Jasper was trained by reading about 10% of the published internet, and the base training was completed at the end of 2019.
Jasper writes by predicting which word should come next in a given sequence, based on what he has learned.

Do I need to proofread Jasper content?
Yes, you do need to proofread and perhaps edit content from Jasper.
Jasper is pretty good at spelling, but he can sometimes make a mistake.
The free Grammarly integration takes care of this and highlights where you need to make a correction.
Punctuation is again taken care of by Grammarly.
Because of the way Jarvis thinks and writes, he does not always use as many commas as he could to break up long sentences.
This is something you may want to edit manually or via Grammarly Pro to make your content more readable.
Formatting, e.g. sentence structure or paragraph length is something you should direct as you go. If you want shorter paragraphs, simply edit the first few paragraphs Jasper generates and he will follow the pattern.
Accuracy is down to you. Jasper is a creative copywriter, so you'll need to check facts and swap out the placeholders for accurate facts you have researched.
For example, if Jasper writes that the Eiffel Tower in Paris is 400m, you can fact check that and see that it is actually 324m and edit the copy to reflect that.
Can Jasper write Facebook posts for me?
Oh my goodness, Jasper writes EPIC Facebook posts, in any format. You only have to look through my Facebook Group to see some of the awesome Facebook posts Jasper has helped me write.

How to combine Jasper with SEO tools to make the most of Jasper
Writing for SEO can be a challenge, but with the right tools, it doesn't have to be.
Jasper is a great tool for writers, and for SEO we recommend using the integration with Surfer SEO to activate SEO mode.
Set up a Surfer Content Editor based on your keyword (or keywords) and Surfer will show you the content structure you need to compete with top-ranking articles for this keyword(s).
You'll see how many words, headings, paragraphs, and images you need to include, as well as all the suggested terms to use in your content.
